Introducing West Plains’ first parklet!

What is a parklet?

A parklet is a small, urban park often created by replacing two parking spaces with a patio, planters, trees, benches, café tables and chairs, and/or bicycle parking. To ensure safety, a physical boundary surrounding the parklet is required.

What is the goal?

The goal of this project is to bring to life some of the ideas generated through the city’s comprehensive plan by activating a community-focused downtown experience. Parklets are designed to be temporary and moveable based on business and community feedback.

This first parklet, located on Washington Avenue, has been a joint effort between Ozark Pizza Company and the City of West Plains. We are currently working with other businesses who have expressed interest in the program.
