The West Plains Electric Department is responsible for keeping power supplied to all of the citizens of West Plains. Our group of lineworkers work diligently to maintain and repair electric lines to make sure that the homes and businesses of West Plains can keep their lights on. With over 6500 electrical services maintained and 5 substations across the city, the electric department stays busy. The electric department is also on call 24/7 for emergencies, should they arise.
Weβre thrilled to announce the launch of our Public Power Outage Map, developed in-house through a collaboration between the City of West Plains Utilities and our GIS team! β‘πΊοΈ
This innovative tool is designed to benefit both our customers and our crews by:
β
Allowing the public to check areas affected by power outages.
β
Displaying the total number of accounts currently without power.
β
Helping city crews in the field to understand the full scope of outages and ensure that every account is restored quickly and efficiently.
β
Enabling city staff to identify areas with frequent outages and prioritize those for infrastructure repairs and improvements.
This map is part of our commitment to transparency, reliability, and ongoing infrastructure improvements to better serve our community.
