West Plains, MO – In response to the recent storms that impacted our community, the City of West Plains Sanitation Department will be accepting brush and storm debris free of charge at the city’s transfer station this week. The free service will be available from Monday, August 18 through Friday, August 23, during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to bring any storm debris and brush directly to the transfer station. Please note that sanitation crews will not be making residential pickups; all debris must be taken to the transfer station by residents.
“We understand that many residents are dealing with the aftermath of the recent storms, and we want to make it as easy as possible for them to clean up their properties,” said Utilities Director Shayne Eades. “Providing free access to the transfer station for storm debris is one way we can support our community during this time.”
