K-9 Loki & Cpl. Stuart

West Plains Police Department Canine Loki is a 5 year old Belgian Malinois. Loki was born March 26, 2018 in the Netherlands. Loki was later imported to Germany where he began his training to become a Police Canine.  In the early part of 2020 Loki was imported to the Unite States to a trainer in Tulsa Oklahoma where he was purchased by the West Plains Police Department.   

Loki was assigned to a handler at that time and began his training in 2020.  The handler and Canine Loki completed their training and began their assignment to the West Plains Police Department Patrol Division. In December of 2020 Loki was reassigned to Cpl. Wesley Stuart and they began training as a team in January of 2021 where they received certifications through the North American Police Work Dog Association (NAPWDA) in Narcotic Detection, Tracking/Trailing, Obedience, and Controlled Aggression.
 
Canine Loki and Cpl. Stuart were assigned to the patrol division as a team in January of 2020 and are currently working together today. The team currently holds certifications through NAPWDA in Narcotic Detection, Tracking/ Trailing, Article Search, Building Search, Obedience, and Controlled Aggression.

Canine Tito is a three-year-old German Shepherd and was born in Poland. Tito was imported to the United States from Poland in November 2021, where Patriot K9 Training acquired him. Tito had to proceed through a series of practical testing prior to being selected as a Police Canine. Tito’s handler is Corporal Micah McKemie, and they were acquainted together on January 3, 2022.

Tito and Corporal McKemie underwent an extensive two-month canine handler’s training course at Patriot K9 Training in Joplin, Missouri. Tito is a Dual-Purpose K9, which means he is trained in multiple tasks. Tito is trained and certified in Obedience, Narcotic Detection (Methamphetamine, Heroin, and Cocaine), Human Tracking, Evidence Article Search, Building Searches, and Suspect Apprehension / Handler Protection. Tito and Corporal McKemie are a certified Patrol Team through North America Police Working Dog Association (NAPWDA).
