The West Plains Fire Department is proud to announce the Hybrid Recruit Fire Academy Class 26-05 is scheduled to begin March 2nd, 2026.
The following topics will be covered during this academy:
- ICS-100, ICS-200, IS-700, and IS-800
- Traffic Incident Management System
- Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations*
- Firefighter I&II*
*These classes are eligible for Missouri Division of Fire Safety certification.
The Fire Recruit Academy will begin on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 6:00 pm with a formal meeting describing the class and requirements.
Curriculum will be online based learning.
Practical Skills may be held at fire headquarters at 1901 Kissinger St, West Plains, MO or at the West Plains Fire Training Facility located at 1620 Girdley St, West Plains, MO.
– Practical skills will be every other Saturday and Sunday for the duration of class.
The Recruit Fire Academy Class 26-05 will be limited to 20 participants. At this time there will be no fees associated with attending the Hybrid Recruit Fire Academy Class.
