In June 2019, Chief Stephen Monticelli became the Emergency Management Director for the City.
During 2020, the entire Emergency Operations Center (EOC) was re-done to provide a better working environment in emergency situations. A Weather Station and new computer system were added to the instrumentation in the EOC providing immediate local weather information. A multi-band radio has been added to allow for radio communications with employees in the field and other agencies. Six new large screen monitors have been added throughout the EOC to provide emergency operations managers separate work areas to operate from. An Overhead Projector/Whiteboard was added to the EOC that makes it ideal for a classroom as well for the Police Department or the entire City if needed. Many training sessions and meetings are conducted in the EOC from various departments throughout the City.
