The Transportation department maintains all city streets, sidewalks, storm drainage, and bridges. The department also includes transit, which provides citizens a cost-effective mode of transportation within the city limits, and the airport, which provides for general aviation travel. The transportation department all handles the city’s fleet maintenance and handles the upkeep of Oak Lawn Cemetery.
